About Dr. Asgharpour:
Dr. Amon Asgharpour is currently an Assistant Professor at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. He received his medical degree from Ross University. He then completed his internal medicine residency at SUNY Downstate and gastroenterology and transplant hepatology fellowships at Virginia Commonwealth University. His clinical interests are in viral hepatitis, autoimmune liver disease, fatty liver disease, alcoholic liver disease, cirrhosis, drug induced liver injury, and liver cancer. His long-term research interests involve clinical and translational work in steatohepatitis.
