“Monitoring of Hepatitis B”

Learning Objectives:

  1. Determine appropriate patient monitoring while on HBV therapy.
  2. Demonstrate which patients with HBV should be  screened for hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC).
  3. Appreciate the differences in monitoring cirrhotic and non-cirrhotic patients with HBV.

Presenters Bio:

Dr. Perumalswami is an Associate Professor of Medicine in the Department of Medicine, Division of Liver Diseases and Recanati Miller Transplant Institute at Mount Sinai Hospital. As a hepatologist, her research interests are in health services and clinical outcomes with a focus on viral hepatitis and liver cancer.
