On Tuesday, July 31st, Dr. Shari Rogal of the University of Pittsburgh and VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System presented on: “Improving Pain Management and Opioid Safety for Patients with Cirrhosis”
About Dr. Rogal:
Dr. Rogal received her MD and Master’s in Public Health from Yale University and completed training in internal medicine at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and training in gastroenterology and transplant hepatology at the University of Pittsburgh. She is currently an Assistant Professor at the University of Pittsburgh in Transplant Surgery and Medicine and faculty member of the VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System, where she conducts research focused on pain, addiction, and opioid use in patients with liver disease. She also works as a program evaluator for national hepatitis C and cirrhosis quality improvement programs in VA nationally.
