On Tuesday, April 9th, Dr. Shashi Kapadia of Weill Cornell Medicine presented on: “A Simplified Framework for Hepatitis C Treatment in Primary Care”
Dr. Kapadia is an instructor in the division of Infectious Diseases and in the Department of Healthcare Policy & Research at Weill Cornell Medicine. He completed medical school and internal medicine residency at the Rutgers New Jersey Medical School, and then Infectious Diseases fellowship and a Preventive Medicine residency at Weill Cornell. He is an infectious diseases physician who conducts research related to the care of hepatitis C and HIV. His current work is focused on policy and organizational factors related to the delivery of hepatitis C treatment, especially among people who use drugs. He uses a combination of clinical and health services research methods, including conducting both quantitative and qualitative studies related to this topic.
